Our test car came with the ubiquitous 2.0 diesel motor making 183 BHP of power and 380 Nm of torque. 7-speed DSG spending power to all wheels via Quattro made launching the car on a straight effortless. Performance is really good on the car as it weighs less and has the most amount of power the diesel motor can make in the VW group. 100 km/hr in 7.7 seconds is really impressive indeed.

All though there is a bit of turbo lag that is apparent, but the DSG gearbox shifts quickly enough to mask it and provide good driveability in the city. Mid-range is extremely punchy and the car keeps pulling to 200 km/hr and more without any stress. NVH levels are good, but the age of the car is showing in this area and they could have been better.

Ride and handling, both, were good as there was minimum body roll on offer and ride quality was really good as went over a bad stretch of road to reach a remote location. Steering continues to be not that feedback rich but the directness and lightness at any given speed makes it easy to drive in the city. The SUV comes with all four disc brakes which give it excellent stopping power. Needless to stay we got good grip from tyres and mechanically as well making a good amount of fun to push around corners. Highway stability was downright brilliant too.

2018 Audi Q3 India Review, Verdict

Overall, the Audi Q3 continues to make a good case for itself. Sure it is dated in certain aspects, such as inside and mildly on the outside, but you can do a bit of customization and get over the monotony. Q3 prices start from RS. 33 lakhs and go all the way till 40 lakhs. Audi is offering discounts as we speak, which makes it a great idea for you to check it and give it a second thought and get a deal which suits you because an entry-level Audi which is an SUV, in India already gets all the bragging rights you would ever need.
