French automaker Citroen, part of the Stellantis Group, is all set to begin operations in India with the launch of its first car this month, the Citroen C5 Aircross SUV. It is the halo product for the brand in the Indian market. The company is planning an aggressive push in the Indian market and has India-specific products planned for launch next. The C5 Aircross comes to India as a Completely Knocked Down (CKD) kit and will compete in the midsize SUV segment against the Hyundai Tucson, Jeep Compass, MG Hector and the upcoming Volkswagen Tiguan 5-seater facelift. The new Citroën C5 Aircross SUV has been launched in 4 colours – Pearl White, Tijuca Blue, Cumulus Grey & Perla Nera Black. These are available in both full body colour and bi-tone options with a wide range of accessories on offer.

The Citroen C5 Aircross will be offered in two variants – Feel and Shine with Mono and Bi-Tone options. The brand is known for offering comfortability on its cars and that will also be the case with the C5 Aircross. The SUV comes with the Advanced Comfort Seats and Progressive Hydraulic Cushion suspension. The second row also gets modular seats that can slide to and fro as well as recline individually. The French offering is a five-seater.

The Citroen C5 Aircross is packed on the feature front and gets well-appointed interiors. The model comes with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. There’s also a six-speaker sound system, 12.3-inch digital instrument console, dual-zone climate control, electrically adjustable driver’s seat, driving modes, and more. The model also comes with six airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP, parking sensors, blindspot monitoring, and reverse camera as part of the standard kit.

Power comes from the 2.0-litre diesel engine that develops 177PS and 400Nm of peak torque. The engine is paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission. There’s no petrol or manual gearbox option on offer. In addition, the C5 Aircross will come with a 5 years/50,000km maintenance package for the early bird customers. The package also includes Routine Maintenance, Extended Warranty, Roadside assistance and on-road financing for up to 5 years.

The SUV is to be sold through La Maison Citroën Phygital Showrooms in 10 cities supported by Nomadic Phygital Showroom. Citroen is offering 100% online buying of C5 Aircross SUV directly from factory, with doorstep delivery in over 50 cities across India.

For the aftersales network named the L’Atelier Citroën, the company will offer unique services:

· Remote diagnostics supported by comprehensive warranty and 100% parts availability to assure customers of a stress-fee ownership experience.

· Service on Wheels will enhance reach and availability for customers covering majority of common repairs at customer’s doorstep.

· These services will be backed by a pan-India Road Side Assistance service, which will reach customers within 3 hours in majority of locations across the country.

All this represents Citroën Service Promise and it would mean “Comfort at Your Fingertips” for customers.

Prices for the Citroen C5 Aircross start from RS. 29 lakhs for the Feel variant in Mono-Tone variant, The Feel Bi-tone variant costs 30.40 lakhs and the Shine variant be it Mono or Bi-Tone will cost Rs 31.90 lakhs.
