BMW has reintroduced the X6 to the Indian market after a three-year hiatus, now offered solely in the M60i version. The X6 originally pioneered the ‘Coupe SUV’ segment when it debuted back in 2007. Since then, competitors like Audi and Mercedes-Benz have launched their entrants, the SQ8 and GLE Coupe, respectively. So, how do these three powerhouse German SUVs stack up against each other in terms of technical specifications and pricing?

Dimensions: The Audi SQ8 is the longest vehicle with the longest wheelbase. The Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 is the tallest and widest, and it offers the largest boot space. The BMW X6’s dimensions place it generally between the other two models.

Performance: The BMW X6 features the largest engine displacement and highest horsepower. The Audi SQ8 produces the highest torque and records the fastest 0-100 kph acceleration time. The Mercedes-AMG utilizes a smaller 6-cylinder engine, resulting in comparatively lower power and torque figures.

Pricing: The BMW X6 and Audi SQ8 carry identical ex-showroom price tags, whereas the Mercedes-AMG is priced ₹26 lakh lower.

While the Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 Coupe sits at a lower price point, its smaller 6-cylinder engine lacks outright oomph compared to the V8s. And while the Audi SQ8 manages a slight edge in torque, it can’t match the sheer brute horsepower and perfectly dialed-in proportions of the X6 M60i. The BMW continues to reign supreme as the ultimate statement of high-performance dominance.

The BMW X6 didn’t just enter the Coupe SUV segment—it invented it back in 2007. Now returning in the formidable M60i guise, it proves once again why it wears the crown. When stacked up against the Audi SQ8 and the Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 Coupe, the BMW X6 delivers a masterclass in raw power, perfectly balanced proportions, and undisputed road presence.
