KTM has excitingly announced the launch timeline for the highly anticipated 390 Adventure R! KTM 390 Adventure R India launch is now set for late June 2025 or early July 2025 as per official data available from KTM. This remarkable bike is powered by the impressive 399cc single-cylinder engine that also fuels the fourth-generation 390 Duke. It’s not just about the power; it boasts refreshed styling and an array of enhancements that elevate the riding experience.
Drawing inspiration from KTM’s Dakar bikes, the 390 Adventure R showcases a striking design, featuring a more upright front end, stylish split-LED headlights, and the brand’s new signature inverted DRLs. With a taller windscreen and a longer front mudguard, it’s sleeker than ever, making it both stylish and functional. The bike incorporates a 5-inch TFT cluster borrowed from the new 390 Duke and comes with a beautifully sculpted 14-litre tank. The seat has been made narrower, providing better access for shorter riders, even with a seat height of 870mm. Plus, the extended tail section at the back adds an extra touch of flair. The bike’s core is supported by a robust steel trellis frame.
When it comes to suspension, the 390 Adventure R is top-of-the-line, featuring WP Apex 43 front suspension with an impressive 230mm of travel, along with WP Apex Split Piston rear suspension also offering 230mm travel. The S version provides an excellent 200mm suspension on both ends for reference. The bike rolls on durable spoke alloys, with a 21-inch front wheel and a 18-inch rear wheel, equipped with tubeless dual-purpose tyres. Weighing in at a nimble 165kg, it’s primed for adventure!
Braking is a breeze with a 320mm ByBre floating disc radial caliper featuring 2 pistons up front, complemented by a 240mm single-piston floating ByBre disc at the rear. A fantastic array of features adds to the excitement—cruise control, cornering ABS, multiple ride modes, full LED lighting, traction control, and dual-channel ABS with a thrilling Supermoto mode.
At the heart of the 390 Adventure R lies KTM’s powerful 399cc LC4c single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine, generating a remarkable 44bhp and 39Nm of peak torque. This stellar engine pairs seamlessly with a smooth 6-speed gearbox equipped with a slipper clutch. With enhanced suspension travel and potential gearing adjustments, we can’t wait to see how this bike rides! So gear up for an exhilarating journey ahead!
