Intermot Arrival: 2017 Triumph T100 Launched in India at Rs. 7.78 Lakhs


Triumph T100 is yet another affordable Triumph in the country as it offers comfort, retro style and modern equipment to complete the package

The iconic British motorcycle manufacturer, Triumph, just launched the 2017 Bonneville T100 in India today. Triumph in India just got got more aggressive than ever. The brand has almost every single motorcycle that it has worldwide in the Indian market today. We did get all the Bonnie’s and even the Thruxton at the Auto Expo and launch happened real soon with prices and delivery start shortly. Today, the T100 is finally back and it has Upgrades in the face of a new engine being used. The ‘high torque’ 900cc from the Street Twin has made it to the T100.

2017 Triumph T100 ‘high torque’ 900cc makes 54 BHP and 80 Nm and is far more efficient and emission friendly than before. The engine comes attached to a 5-speed transmission. Power is up by 22% and is concentrated in the mid range. Torque too is up by 18% over the previous generation motorcycle. The bike weighs at a subtle 213kg dry weight. The T100 now has a fuel tank capacity of 14.5 litres. Modern tech includes Ride-by-Wire, ABS as standard, along with switchable traction control and a torque-assisted clutch on offer.

Design wise, the changes are evolutionary but the engine, exhaust and color schemes on offer have changed. There is an entire list of accessories to choose from, which can thoroughly customize your bike. Over 150 options to choose from. There is a flat seat on the T100, the similar twin-pod instrument console seen on new range of Bonnie’s can be seen here and they look classic and modern. Modern world feature list includes a new LED tail lamp for starters.


T100 also offers an USB charging socket. Heated-grips and cruise control are offer to make the cruising as effortless and comfortable in every weather possible. Priced really well, Triumph should see a lot of customers in the showrooms soon. One of the best-selling motorcycles for the brand just got more accessible!
