Duster was one success worldwide and cars based on the platform did well as the pricing and value was quite good. The SUV market is booming and everyone wants to cash on it, the Duster got a refresh recently and now its time its replacement comes, a premium one to make things better in the eyes of the competition, when the customer are choosing Creta and S-Cross worldwide. Expect good fuel efficiency from these proven motors and because of other mechanicals reasons.

Renault Captur India Specific Design and Dimensions

Captur seems to be a handsome looking vehicle when viewed in images for now as the vehicle has been just realized. The Duster is known for the same but the Captur has flowing design and everything else right from headlights to rear bumper seems to be doing a great job of syncing with every sheet metal piece.

The large futuristic designed bumper with LED DRL and air dams that have been crafted well along with a sleek clam-shell-like bonnet gives it a rugged stance that today’s soft roaders poses. Rear looks like a hatchback, but raised with small tail-lamps and a lot of sheet metal area. Lower half has a big bumper with skid plates. The Renault Captur is 4333 mm in length, 1613 mm in height and 1813 mm width.

Renault Captur Chassis, suspension and off-road

The SUV will have a monocoque chassis, will be slightly bigger than the Duster in size. The suspension will be the same as the Duster all around and will be niggle free as platform has been revised. The 4×4 system aka AWD system which has independent suspension all around will make it to the Captur.

Renault Captur India Specific Interiors and Features

We can see in the pictures it has good quality interior all around. The dashboard is well layout and the touchscreen in middle seems to be taking all the attention. Round dashboard houses a very circular and flat-bottom-ish steering wheel along with digital speedo meter and other gauges in the meters are analogue. A/C controls and other knobs are well layout in reach of the driver. Mirror controls and power window switches are in the place where they belong and on paper the space in front, rear and boot space of 387 litres seems to segment best.
