WHAT!!! KTM DUKE 390 ELECTRIC Spied Testing In Previous Generation Body Panels! -A Reality Soon?!

KTM DUKE 390 electric motorcycle has been spied and opens a whole new world and direction for fans, aspiring customers and them manufacturer itself

News from Bajaj-KTM wasn’t all that hard to believe that when they were saying that the electric motorcycles would shortly follow. The manufacturer, KTM, is working on an electric motorcycle and is seen here in the with an electric mechanical package. Based on the KTM Duke 390 with previous generation body panels on it, the motorcycle seems to have been caught testing inside the KTM factory itself. The manufacturer is testing an electric motorcycle which has a large battery pack that is visible. It has all the other components seen before.

The USD forks, the monoshock, the swingarm all are directly attached to the motor. The trellis frame is missing as it needs to be skipped to mount a large electric motor, a thing which looks like a radiator to cool things off and a humongous battery pack in the middle is visible. The motorcycle has a large sub frame which is sticking out. The cosmetic includes the same engine belly fairing, the headlight, the fuel tank (what does it house now ?).

This is a very early prototype that we see here. The electric motorcycle plans from KTM are yet to be revealed and when asked by the press to comment on the same, KTM decline to offer any feedback on the same. Bajaj is also said to be working on an electric motorcycle for itself and something that could spawn an all new brand for the company. KTM could be the one who will provide the tech after both companies work on it together. Electric motorcycle question revolve around what power and torque it makes, does it have a gearbox or not and most importantly what kind of battery is used and how long will it last. We expect to see a proper prototype at the Milan motor show of 2017 which will happen in November, but it is still far away. Stay tuned as this exciting news goes ahead.
