2019 KTM Duke 250 ABS doesn’t get much changes in terms of livery either
ABS time of the year is here and all manufacturers are finally applying it to all motorcycles above the 125cc mark. The manufacturer taking it ahead as early as possible as always is Bajaj’s KTM. The manufacturer just applied single-channel ABS to the Duke 200 which is probably switchable or not is yet a mystery because it wasn’t said in 99-word press release. As always, KTM officials are not available for comments on the same either.
Nevertheless, we begin our digging to find out that the Duke 250 ABS has been listed as the Duke 250 2019 on the KTM India website. To wit, we have seen the Duke 250 doing test rounds outside Pune.
The website says that 2019 does get ABS and it is switchable. This lets us believe that it will be a dual channel unit as well. There isn’t a colour change seen on the bike either which is rather disappointing, just like the Duke 200. The engine and chassis continue to be the same. The 4-valve, liquid-cooled 250cc engine makes 31 PS of power and 24 Nm of torque.
An engine which is tall geared and inspiration and hardware comes from the Duke 390 which was used to make this motorcycle rather than using the Duke 200 engine. Stay tuned as we update you with pricing and details which should come in early last week of November.
