Yamaha Cygnus Alpha Disc Brake comes at a time when it’s key and superior rival gets the same option.

Yamaha India, as we know is quite focused on volume products. It all started with scooters and the first was Ray. Then came the Alpha and later we saw the Fascino and the latest one is the Ray ZR after the original Ray was discontinued. Today, the Alpha scooter gets cosmetic upgrades and most importantly, a disc brake variant. The 113cc scooter never demanded disc brakes but it is the best interest of safety that company seems to have done. The Alpha has been in the market for some time but hasn’t able to catch up with the rivals which are quite strong in the segment from TVS and Honda that which it directly aims despite strong qualities. We list the details to tell you what does it offer.

Yamaha Cygnus Alpha Disc Brake Launch Date

Yamaha Cygnus Alpha was launched in the year 2014 and today, in June 2016, the disc brake variant comes along with cosmetic upgrades.

Yamaha Alpha Disc Brake Design & Dimensions

The design remain the same and so do the panels. What we can see here is that Yamaha has taken the opportunity to introduce new shades for the scooter. Basically they are stickers and graphics on the side panels and front apron of the scooter. The scooter continues with slightly odd ball styling which includes an awkward mounting for the tail light and un-proportioned side panels. Front is quite good and the front head lamp looks good enough. The alloy wheels, telescopic forks in black and multi color panels manage to add flare to the scooter. The new variant of Yamaha Cygnus Alpha Disc Brake Variant will be available in two new colors such as Radiant Cyan and Marvel Black.
