2018 Yamaha FZ Fi With Dual Disc and New Paint Schemes do not raise the price by a big margin. 2019 will see them getting ABS
Yamaha Motorcycles India is a brand that listens to its customers and hence subtly keeps on updating their products. Like in case of the R15 where customers wanted the older version of the bike, Yamaha re-introduced the V1.0 under the name R15-S. It also introduced the R3 with better and grippier Metzeler rubber and also ABS.
Yamaha’s presence in the 150cc segment cannot be ignored. They’ve a variety of models in this capacity. And when talking 150’s, one simply cannot oversee the FZ street-naked. The FZ was Yamaha’s ace in the 150cc class until the introduction of the Suzuki Gixxer 155. The FZ merged style, performance and practicality like no other.
The newer variant of the FZ, titled the FZ-S was also a hit amongst Yamaha fanboys. This variant saw the introduction of the Fuel-injection system, a first in the entry level streetfighter segment. Yamaha has now launched a slightly restyled version of the FZ-S Fi in order to keep it fresh in the market. Now the rear disc equipped variant of the FZ gets two new paint schemes. The new paint schemes are called Matte Green and Darknight. These two will be sold alongside the Armada Blue livery.
Apart from the two new paint schemes the bike is just the same. It continues to be propelled via the same 149cc FI engine that pumps out 13.2 PS of power and 12.8 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. Unfortunately ABS is still not on offer even as an accessory.
