Hero Destini 125 Scooter is priced well and comes with start-stop technology

Hero Motocorp has launched this new scooter and this time it is powered with a 125cc motor and it is known as the Destini 125. Hero had showcased this scooter at the 2018 Auto Expo. After the launch of the Destini 125, it is being positioned as the flagship product of Hero Motocorp scooter lineup. On the other hand, the Hero Maestro will be targeted at the customers who are looking out for a scooter on a budget.

In terms of equipment, Hero is offering the Destini 125 with an LED tail lamp unit, boot light, a 12 Volt charging port for mobiles and an analog-digital display unit. Dual tone seats, outer fuel filler cap, service reminder and a lock that opens the boot from the ignition key slot.

In addition to this, the Destini 125 will also get Hero’s i3S idle start / stop technology which helps reducing fuel consumption. This will be the first scooter from Hero’s lineup to get the i3S technology which will help them, compete with the Honda Activa

Powering the Destini 125 is a 124,66cc single cylinder, air-cooled petrol engine which also powers the Maestro 125. This engine is developed at Hero Motocorp’s Centre of Innovation and Technology and it can generate 8.7 bhp of power and 10.2Nm of twist.

The Hero Destini 125 will be available in four colour schemes- Noble Red, Chestnut Bronze, Panther Black, and Pearl Silver White. Both the front and rear tyres will get a drum brake setup and it is supported by a Combi-Brake setup. In terms of suspension at the front is a telescopic fork unit while at the rear it is a one-sided shock absorber. The Destini pricing is Rs. 54,650 for the LX variant and the VX variant is priced at Rs. 57,500/-, both prices are ex-showroomed Delhi.

Once launched in the Indian market, the Destini 125 from Hero Motocorp will be competing head-on with the Honda Activa, Suzuki Access, Honda Grazia, TVS Ntorq, Vespa LX 125 and the Aprilia SR 125.
