Yamaha R15 Version 3 launch will happen in January 2018 and will boast more power and torque from same engine
We all knew the version 3 Yamaha R15 will come to India and the speculated dates were right as well. Going by what Yamaha is doing with its product. It launches the product after couple of months of testing in India. R15 version 3 is on its way as well and we expect it to come very soon. The natural evolution of the Version 2 that is on sale right now will be this new model. The Version 3 is loaded with feature, technology for the engine and in the feature section. Let’s look at what India specific version has on offer for us.

The front is flat and it has LED equipped headlights on them. The fairing panels are slimmer and so is the over profile. THe motorcycle does look more focused and will now have the show and the go as well. Rear gets a minimalist LED tail-lamp.

Yamaha R15 Version 3 India specifc Chassis, suspension and brakes
Famed perimeter frame with fat tyres at the front and rear can be seen. They are MRF as before too. While international version gets USD Forks, we may get telescopic forks just like the current version. This is clearly a sign of cost cutting as our market won’t pay over 1.5 lakhs for a 150cc bike and USD fork make a huge difference in price as we know.
Yamaha R15 Version 3 India Price and Launch
India launch should happen in early 2018 or some time before 2018. Expect similar pricing to what the R15 is now as it misses out on features over its international version.
Yamaha R15 Version 3 Engine And Specification
Powering the new Yamaha R15 V3.0 will be an all new, heavily revised 155cc engine with Variable Valve Actuation technology. This single-cylinder liquid cooled motor produces 19.3 PS at 10,000 rpm and 14.7 Nm of torque at 8500 rpm. The engine comes mated to a six-speed transmission.
Yamaha R15 Version 3 Safety and Features
ABS will not come in this bike before 2019. Features include new TFT screen for the instrument cluster and it will have all parameters.
