Ahead of its official launch, the 2020 BS6 Bajaj Pulsar 220F has started reaching dealerships. The launch of the bike is expected later this month and some dealers have already started accepting the bookings for the same. The 2020 BS6 Bajaj Pulsar 220F will be retailed at Rs 1, 16,262 (ex-showroom) which makes it around Rs 9,000 costlier than its outgoing BS4 version.
In terms of changes, the engine of the new Pulsar has got a fuel-injection system, an ECU, and a catalytic converter for cleaner emissions to meet BS6 norms.

Bajaj initially launched Pulsar 220 with fuel injectors and then switched to the carburetor-fed fuel supply mechanism in the second generation of the bike. But, now again, the requirement to burn fuel cleaner and more efficiently has led the Pune-based bike maker to switch back to the fuel-injection system. The output of the 2020 BS6 Bajaj Pulsar 220F is expected to be similar to the outgoing variant which puts out 20.93 PS along with 18.55 Nm of max torque.

Apart from engine changes, the bike will continue to feature the same graphics and mechanical underpinnings. Some of the significant structural components on the bike include telescopic forks up front, gas-charged rear shock absorbers, front and rear disc brakes, and a single-channel ABS system. The updated Pulsar 220F will take on the likes of Yamaha Fazer 25 and Hero Xtreme 200S among others.

There won’t be any cosmetic or mechanical changes on the bike which means the 2020 BS6 Bajaj Pulsar 180F Fi will continue to don similar styling and graphics as the outgoing model. Suspension duties will be handled by telescopic front forks and gas-charged rear shock absorbers. Braking is via discs (both front and rear) and to make things effective, a single-channel ABS system comes as a standard part of the equipment.
