2018 XUV 500 Spied again and it promises a lot and removal of issues from the past to perfect as it will make way for an all-new SUV in 2021
In the year 2011, Mahindra & Mahindra rolled out their first Indian built global SUV the XUV 5OO. The cheetah inspired design has Elegance, Appeal and Smartly placed features in it and was offered under 18 Lakhs, which raised the eyebrows of the bigger ruling SUV’s like Fortuner, as XUV 5OO was the more relevant option. R&D team has played too well in the design by replacing usual ladder chassis with monocoque frame and Rear wheel drive was replaced by front wheel drive which helped in the cost-cutting area. The interior was equipped with all features seen in high brand cars. Interiors may get minor changes and same is expected with exteriors which can be seen in the picture where it gets a Ssangyong Inspired grille at the front.
In 2015 Mahindra came with the first facelift of XUV 5OO and the first reaction was ‘Does XUV need any facelift as it is all well crafted’. Then after the reveal first impression was a usual “WOW” because the SUV got minor design changes with an improved electronic system and the addition of new range W10, with sunroof featuring on it. The company also increased the production to 5,000 units per month to cut off the high demand and this shows XUV 5OO is one of it’s kind without any rivals.
The 2018 XUV 500 Spied recently camouflaged indicates the buyers to hold up till next year (2018), as SUV is getting another facelift which will be offered in 170 BHp and 400nm torque from the 2.2 litre diesel motor which will help offers stellar performance, but this one spec will be on the top-variant and will be aimed at the enthusiast. The petrol engine may be seen in the 2018 XUV 500, along 6-speed auto and manual transmission and new sets of alloys are seen in the testing model. The XUV aero design concept is also onboard and maybe sooner or later it will be made available for customers.
