Hyundai has unveiled all-new 2020 Creta. The SUV, which is expected to make its Indian debut at 2020 Auto Expo, comes with heavily revamped exteriors and interiors. Just so you know, Hyundai sells Creta as ix25 in the Chinese market. The new Creta has visibly grown in size thanks to its longer and wider body dimensions. Compared to the current model, this new generation is 30 mm longer, 10 mm wider, and features 20 mm longer wheelbase; however, it stands 7 mm shorter than before. The frontage of new Creta features a lot of chrome. High-set nose comes with prominent Hyundai logo and off-set positioning of headlamps give it a sleek front look.
Other prominent styling features include 17” diamond cut alloy wheels, contrasting black roof, skid plates, and all-around body cladding. Inside the cabin, the new SUV has got dual-tone black and beige interiors with contrasting red stitching. A free-standing touch screen infotainment system takes pride of the place here and the arrangement looks somewhat similar to Tesla cars. In sum, superior craftsmanship and high-quality interiors make Creta even more luxurious than before.
Hyundai well equip the new Creta with 1.5-liter petrol and diesel engines which will be compliant with upcoming BS-VI emission norms. Commenting on the unveil, Hyundai said that though the new Creta takes the design inspiration from the Sonata but its interpretation is entirely different thanks to the coming together of muscular styling and high ground clearance. South Korean carmaker is confident that the SUV will be able to strike a chord with customers and will prove a bigger success story. As far as prices are concerned, one thing is sure that the new Creta will be priced considerably higher than its current price range of Rs 9.60-15.65 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
