Husqvarna officials have confirmed with us that the launch of the Husqvarna twins is set to happen in the second week of March 2020. The grand unveil of the Svartpilen and Vitpilen 250 was done at the India Bike Week 2020 and now just the price tag remains. Husqvarna 250 Twins India Launch models are BS6 250cc motorcycles with the heart coming from KTM motorcycles. Most of the hardware is also taken from KTM 250cc platform including, chassis, suspension and brakes. These motorcycles though will quite different to the KTM as we expect it to be urgent enough but at the same time be docile.
However, the bigger highlight will be the premium feel, the sci-fi look body panels and overall fictional design language that these motorcycles carry. The ergonomics are going to be very different as well and major part of it is going to be committed. These can be termed as cafe racers from the future. Unlike most manufacturer trying capture the old era feel, Husqvarna is doing things very differently.
The design is going to be the highlight, the premium quality, feel and experience for customer will start at KTM showroom where there will be a different section to experience and so will the Husqvarna sales official pitching it to their prospective client in unique way, the Swedish way perhaps? Expect pricing to be between Rs. 2.3 Rs. 2.5 lakhs ex-showroom. This is a good 30-50k more than the KTM Duke 250 that is now being sold at 2.06 lakhs with the BS6 engine, super motor ABS and open cartridge forks. We will see what spec we get with these Husqvarna 250 Twins India debutante models have to offer.
