KTM Duke 790 India Launch Date Confirmed Officially!

KTM Duke 790 India Launch On 23’rd September. The motorcycle has reached a KTM dealership in Bangalore and now in Mumbai. Our dealer sources that the motorcycle will retail around 10.5 lakh rupees on-road in most cities which helps significantly undercut its chief rival, the Triumph Street Triple 765 RS by almost Rs. 3.0 Lakhs.

An expected move from KTM-Bajaj group has been delivered. Expect KTM Duke 790 India Launch to receive serious attention, bookings and sales. No Test Rides to be offered say multiple dealerships due to the limited amount of units on offer. All are directed to be sold.

A rumor of 150 units is roaming around in the market which will be the amount will available at launch. BS6 variants will roll out after that, which can too come in batches post that. The Duke 790 will come at a time where most manufacturer are giving serious discounts on their superbikes and probably won’t take bookings post April 2020 as they don’t have BS6 compliant motorcycles. Most international manufacturer will be ready by December 2020.

Coming back to the 790. The motorcycle has the best power to weight ratio thanks a 2-cylinder layout which makes 105 PS of power and weighs under 190 kgs. There is a lot features on offer and comes with a cornering ABS, IMU and whole host of more features. Pricing already seems quite near to the mark and if this pricing is 100% true at launch, KTM will kick start the superbike market in India in its own still and we can see whole host of other superbikes from the orange brand to come into the Indian market soon.
