2018 Ducati Monster 821 India Launch is happening again because now it has a BSIV compliant engine and has subtle changes all around
Ducati had revealed the 2018 Monster 821 on the completion of 25 years to their first muscle bike Monster 900. The Monster 900 was the naked muscle bike from Ducati which display their strong heritage and is easy cruising bike offering massive power at a twist to the throttle. Monster 821 is been introduced with the iconic yellow colour paying tribute to the first M900 resuming matte black and red to its fleet.
2018 Ducati Monster 821 has received some minor changes like redesigned fuel tank with mechanized opening and the contemporary and classic twin barrel exhaust gives more monster appeal with the finishing sharp tail end. The new TFT instrumental cluster displays the engaged gear and fuel bars. Riders can switch between three different modes- Sports, Touring and Urban with the Ducati safety package ABS and traction control for safe and pleasure riding experience. Quick shift (up/down) and the Ducati Multimedia System are the other packaging options of Monster 821.
2018 Ducati Monster 821 India specific model will come with a Testastretta twin-cylinder engine gives the maximum power of 108 bhp at 9250 rpm and 86Nm of peak torque at 7750 rpm, engaging between the 6-speed gearbox. The motor has been detuned slightly. The 43 mm USD front forks suspension and an adjustable monoshock unit at the rear assure better gripping to the road. The bike is priced at Rs. 9.51 Lakhs. The Monster 821 will go against the likes of newly launched Suzuki GSX-S750, Yamaha, MT-09, Triumph Street Triple, Kawasaki Z900, MV Agusta Brutale 800 and Aprilia Shiver 900
