Ford is also developing a low-cost platform for its future premium hatchbacks and sedans. The crossover Figo will get the all-new 1.2 litre, three-cylinder petrol mill from the ‘Dragon’ series of engines. The new engines are to be manufactured by Ford in India to keep the costs low. The diesel will continue to be the same which is the 1.5 diesel which makes 100 PS of power. The petrol automatic will be introduced which will be an AMT. Even the manual gearbox, which was criticized is being changed.
