Ford Figo and Aspire Caught Testing in Brazil. We could see the updated twin at the Auto Expo in February

Ford has begun to test its Figo and Aspire facelift as test mules of both the cars have been spotted recently. The Figo has off late been spotted testing in Brazil while the Aspire compact sedan has been found at Turkey. The Figo hatchback had been heavily merged revealing very few details. Yet, a look at the test mule anyone will think that the hatchback will get minor tweaks on the headlight and the front bumper with completely newlower air intakes. There are brand new alloy wheels and when it comes to the rear, there are only tweaks to the bumper.

Indian market bound Ford Figo, will only come with cosmetic changes while the engine options remain the same. The Figo in India will continue to be powered by the 1.2 litre petrol, 1.5 litre petrol and 1.5 litre diesel. The Brazil specification Figo is anticipated to be powered up by an all-new 1.5 litre 3 cylinder Dragon petrol engine. Meanwhile, some reports suggest that the Figo facelift would be receiving an option of an automatic gearbox with new Dragon petrol engine.

Ford Aspire also sports an enormous camouflaging and just like its hatchback partner, it is also expected to offer the much needed touchscreen infotainment system. Ford Aspire is now being sold across the planet and it is available in two different lengths, the first is a sub 4 meter version of the vehicle manufactured and sold in the desi market and a few international markets like South Africa as well, while the second version which is based upon the Aspire compact sedan that is being sold out in South America and it has a larger boot space.

One interesting addendum to the Aspire sedan is the new Dragon petrol engine, but the company has not yet confirmed whether this new powertrain will be making it to the Indian Spec model or not. Ford will continue to offer their 1.2, 1.5 litre petrol and 1.5 litre diesel engines on the Aspire too. Ford doesn’t, at present sell the Aspire in Turkey, buy the test mule spied could mean that this car would debut in the Turkish market in the recent years to come. Ford will also be launching a modified version of the updated Figo and Aspire around the 2018 Auto Expo.
