Ford Figo Base Variant Get Expensive and top end variant gets expensive. Price revision happens within 2 months of launch!

American auto major Ford has updated its Figo hatchback in March earlier this year. The upgrade resulted in styling changes, the addition of new equipment, and more importantly, gets the Figo a new set of 1.2-liter and 1.5-liter petrol engines. All these changes have certainly made Figo more desirable than before. According to the latest update, Ford has revised Figo price range and new prices have come into effect from April 1, 2019.

According to the revised prices, the base petrol and diesel Ambiente variants have become dearer and now start at Rs 5.23 lakh (price hike of Rs 8,000) and Rs 6.13 lakh (price hike of Rs 18,000) respectively. Prices for top variants, on the other hand, have seen a downward revision. Petrol and diesel Titanium variants are now less costly by Rs 39,000 and Rs 29,000 respectively while the top-of-the-line Titanium Blue petrol and diesel variants now cost Rs 6.65 lakh (price drop of Rs 29,000) and Rs 7.55 lakh (price drop of Rs 19,000).

In terms of engine and transmission, the Figo continues to feature 1.2-liter and 1.5-liter petrol engines producing an output of 96bhp and 123bhp respectively. While 1.2-liter is coupled with a 5-speed manual transmission, the more powerful 1.5-liter uses 6-speed torque converter gearbox. Diesel engine, on the other hand, puts out 100 bhp of max power and comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. In terms of competition, Ford Figo is taking on the likes of Volkswagen Polo, Hyundai Grand i10, and Maruti Suzuki Swift among others.
