2018 Ford Focus Sedan has the right amount of space, good looking design and will have dynamics and performance to outrun its rivals
This week in China Ford debuted the 2018 Focus Sedan. One such variant from its line up is the ST-Line. As we compare the regular 2018 Ford Focus sedan to the Ford Focus ST-Line, this trim has much of an aggressive styling.
Aesthetically, at the front of the Ford Focus Sedan, the 2018 Ford Focus ST-Line gets a large radiator grille which has a honeycomb design and surrounding it is a black frame. The lower wing elements direct air directly to the air curtain. The front apertures are more open and they are designed in such a way that will help enhance performance and gives this sedan a sporty look.
At the side of the Ford Focus Sedan, the 2018 Ford Focus ST-Line gets black window trim and an underbody spoiler. This sedan runs on 18-inch alloy wheels and the design of it is similar to the one available in the hatchback version. In addition to this, it also gets red colour brake callipers which gives a sporty look. At the rear, it gets a lid spoiler, a diffuser and twin exhaust setup. Speaking about the interiors, Ford had given the Focus ST-Line carbon fibre finishes and it also gets red stitches to give the cabin a more sporty look and feel.
Most likely the 2018 Ford Focus ST-Line will be powered with a 1.5-litre EcoBoost Petrol mill. This engine will be coupled with an optional six-speed manual gearbox or the eight-speed automatic gearbox. For better handling, Ford has equipped the 2018 Focus ST-Line with an unique spring and damper setup along with stabiliser bars. In comparison with the regular version, the Focus ST-Line should have 10mm lower ride which is similar to that on the hatchback version. As of now, the 2018 Ford Focus Sedan will only be available in China and the sales are expected to start after the second half of 2018.
